Blackbird Singing is the first in a triology about an ordinary girl, Lily 16, who discovers through her dreams a scarred woman. Whose past connects her to an angel of the blackbird clave. A clave filled with lust, danger, and romance. The more she discovers, the more intrigued and obcessed she becomes. And the more danger she finds herself in. Sometimes secrets are left better unsaid. Especially ones that want to bring you back to the dead.
HI, my name is Quiana and I am the arthor of the upcoming trilogy BLACKBIRD SINGING. I was born in Hawaii in the eighties. I discovered my love for writing at sixteen. It has become quite an obsession of mine. Years later and I'm still expressing myself through the art of word. I love reading young adult books.
Wish I had discovered them when I actually was a young adult, but better late than never. Funny thing about my need to write is that I never was much of a reader until I read Twilight by S.M. (yeah I said it). I know a shame being that I've been writing for years. Now in my thirties I just can't get enough of
reading, both YA and adult. I love all sorts of music. I love playing my guitar and piano, not very well, but hey I do what I do. BLACKBIRD SINGING is my first completed manuscript. FLY was my first fiction baby to be published on my own (no longer on sale). I also used a vanity press to publish a book of lyrical poems, BOYS WITH ISABELLA. Yes, I still believe in the traditional way of publishing (hence what I said above about BBS) but I also believe you can't wait forever for someone to acknowledge your talent. Sometimes you have to find you own way. Besides I love sharing my work. In doing it this
way, it helps to grow thick skin to criticism that sometimes can be very harsh.
Point of the matter, never give up.
